Where a dancer's hands bring clay to life

This 10-inch serving plate features a solitary hummingbird, leaves and flowers on a bright yellow background. The images were painted on the plate with a liquid pigmented clay. The piece was then glazed with a food-safe, satiny glaze and fired again.

This ceramic creation can be displayed empty as a piece of graceful artwork. It can also be used as a serving plate for food.
