This 9-inch pitcher is covered with a satiny, blue-gray glaze, which flowed and created unique patterns while in its molten state in the kiln. The handle echoes the rounded shape of the body in an exaggerated, almost whimsical manner.
The vessel has several uses. It can be a vase for a small bouquet of living flowers with the handle creating an impactful detail, or it can simply stand alone as a piece of sculpture, where the design of the glaze creates an interest from every angle.
