This tall slender pitcher is covered with a blue glaze that creates a marbled effect. The handle, which runs almost the entire 13-inch hight of the pitcher, is glazed with a solid blue to highlight its delicate shape. The vessel has several uses. It can be a functional pitcher on a dining table, it can be a vase for living flowers with the handle creating a unique detail, or it can simply stand alone as a piece of sculpture.
The long handle echoes the shape of the body of the vessel, while adding a geometric detail at the opening on top. The entire piece is covered with a clear, satin glaze that is food-safe and watertight.
This particular pitcher is part of a private collection in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. A selection of other recreations of this pitcher can be custom ordered at my online shop.
