This 13-inch ceramic pitcher, with its long graceful handle, has several uses. It can be a functional pitcher on a dining table, it can be a vase for living flowers with the handle creating a unique detail, or it can simply stand alone as a piece of sculpture.
On the vessel wall are hummingbirds feasting on flowers and leaves that follow the curves of the pottery. The long handle echoes the shape of the body of the vessel, while adding a geometric detail at the opening on top. The entire piece is glazed with a clear, satin glaze that is food-safe and watertight.
This pitcher is part of a private collection in Newtown, Connecticut. A selection of similar pitchers can be custom ordered at my online shop.
