This tall slender pitcher is covered with a jade green glaze with a satin finish. The handle, which runs almost the entire 14-inch hight of the pitcher, is highlighted with a golden brown glaze that also frames the opening of the pitcher. While in the kiln, this glaze melted down over the edge of the top and handle, creating a unique molten effect. The vessel has several uses. It can be a vase for living flowers with the handle creating a unique detail, or it can simply stand alone as a piece of sculpture.
The long handle echoes the shape of the body of the vessel, while adding a geometric detail at the opening on top.
Similar recreations of this vase can be custom ordered at my online shop.
